Dress: New York & Company | Sweater: Dress Barn | Pin: Dapper Day | Earrings: Local boutique | Necklace: Gift | Lipstick: MAC So Chaud

You didn’t think I’d be satisfied with just lemons, did you? Like I mentioned in my previous review, I had my eye on a few more pieces from New York & Company. Their 50% sitewide Memorial Day sale seemed like the perfect time to pick some of them up!

The lusciously fruity Julianne dress is another piece from the Eva Mendes collection. It’s difficult to see in photos, but the dress is actually made from a beautiful Jacquard fabric that adds a lot of textural interest in addition to the lovely assorted fruit print. I ordered this dress in my usual size; it’s a little bit of a snug fit, but I think a size up would be too baggy. My main issue was tightness in the bust, which I often have with high-necked dresses, and a push-up bra definitely helped hoist the ladies into a more comfortable position!

I felt deliciously Betty Draper in this dress, as you can probably tell from my “bitchy housewife” photos. I’d actually intended to dress down today, but my hair turned out so well that I had to dress to match, and suddenly I was wearing heels, lipstick, and pearls! Don’t you love/hate it when that happens? 😉

  1. Ack, they had a Memorial Day sale?!? Of all the times to not pay attention to the internet…

That said, I *love* this dress on you! The colors are just perfect, especially with that cute yellow sweater. It’s so great that it’s also work-friendly, what with the high neck and perfect length of the skirt. I might just have to bite the bullet and order it, or at least pray that it’s still there when the next sale comes along!
